Post 15 – Third Year arrangements for 2/9/20

We look forward to welcoming all third students on Wednesday 2nd September.

• Students will be advised via text on the specific classroom that they will be based in on their first day in school.

• Students are asked to bring paper and a pen.

• Parents are advised to read the HSE document for advice on returning to schools.

Wednesday 2nd of September

On arrival

• Students should go to the classroom assigned to them by text to their parents.

• The school day will begin at 9 am.

Students will meet their tutor from last year and their new tutor.

• Students will receive information on guidelines relating to the rules, regulations practices, and protocols of a safe return to school.

• Students will receive support in coping with bereavement from their tutors, supported by school Guidance Counsellors and as advised by the National Educational Psychological Service.

• Students will receive their timetable, diary, etc.

• Some refreshments will be provided at 12 noon approx.

• Students will be given a handout for parents entitled “Ways to help your child thorugh this difficult time.”
