Road Safety Show

Moville Community College

On Wednesday 12th October all the fifth year students in Moville Community College attended the RSA Road Safety talk in Letterkenny. There were over 1,600 students in attendance. Each student received a hi-vis vest for walking at night or for waiting on the bus in the morning on the way to school.

‘Remember, the next time it could be you’ is the hard-hitting road safety message being delivered to Donegal, Derry & Tyrone students in the Aura Leisure Centre Letterkenny today and tomorrow at the Donegal Road Safe Show.

The award winning show is hosted by Donegal County Council in association with the Donegal Road Safety Working Group (DRSWG) and almost 3,000 young people will witness how a night out ends in tragedy for a 17-year old boy who has just passed his driving test.

The main audience will be made up of students from the County's twenty-seven post-primary schools and six Youthreach centres. The impact of the show has also been acknowledged in Northern Ireland with the Police Service of Northern Ireland organising the attendance of students from Derry and Tyrone.
