Fighting Words

Eighteen TY students accompanied by five sixth years attended a creative writing workshop in Fighting Words on October 6th. Fighting Words is a centre founded by Roddy Doyle in Dublin to provide Irish students with additional writing opportunities. The workshop was a highly enjoyable educational experience. Students created their own characters and developed some very unusual plots all within a relaxed informal setting. Six volunteers assisted the students with their writing and everyone agreed that the students did themselves and their school proud.
