Fairtrade Fortnight at Moville Community College

Moville CC is proud to be a Fairtrade school. Monday 26th February marks the first day of Fairtrade fortnight 2018 which runs until March 11th. The school plans to celebrate this in a number of ways over the coming weeks from assembly, class lessons, coffee mornings and maybe a few surprises too! As we received our first Fairtrade school award two years ago, it is due for renewal now so we are anxious to get our status renewed in the process of all our fun activities.We appeal to all members of the school community from parents and guardians, staff and students to try to support Fairtrade fortnight by buying as many Fairtrade items as possible and to make them a regular part of your shoppin

Moville Community College goes orange for Cycle Against Suicide 9th February

Moville Community College will Go Orange on 9th February 2018 to support the Cycle Against Suicide movement. There will be a number of events running in the school throughout the day. 'Circuits for a Healthy Mind' will run in the GP Hall for during periods 1 - 8 for students. There are two time slots where we welcome parents; 13.50 - 14.30 and 14.30 - 15.10. Niamh McDermott to appear on RTE's Today with Maura and Daithi

Niamh McDermott, 5th Year student in Moville Community College will appear for the second time on Today with Maura and Dáithí next Tuesday 13th February. Niamh and her father Chef Brian McDermott will be cooking live on the popular RTE show. Niamh made her TV debut showcasing her delicious dish of meatballs with spaghetti and bolognese sauce for presenters Dáithí Ó Sé and Maura Derrane last October; so she is no stranger to the studio. Niamh's sister Aoife, a first year student in Moville Community College also featured on the show with her mum, Brenda. Eco-Unesco visit for TY Development Education

Susie Spratt from Eco-Unesco who travelled up from Dublin to deliver a workshop on Sustainable Development with TY Development Education students on Monday 6th February 2018. TY Development Education students participating in an activity during yesterday's Eco-UNESCO workshop. They used old newspapers to visualise the amount of pollution each continent produces.
